Resolved Question: Whats happening to Elk Grove, CA?

Ive been living in Elk Grove for the last 9 years, I moved here from San Jose because at the time it seemed like a better place to raise my daughter. Lately however, all i see is violent crime happening in Elk Grove. Every time I open the paper I read about people being robbed at gunpoint, people being robbed and assaulted and it doesn't help that the city is so small compared to San Jose, that it feels as if every crime is right around the corner from me. When I first moved here it was a calm, quiet, and safe place to be... now all I see is little "thug" wannabe kids walking around everywhere. Whats going on with this place?
